101 Winning Volleyball Drills from the AVCA

FROM THE PUBLISHER

The American Volleyball Coaches Association is very proud to present 101 Winning Volleyball Drills from the AVCA, a diverse collection of volleyball drills geared to all levels of coaching. The drills included in this publication are gleaned from more than 90 different coaches from around the United States, including such renowned coaches as Andy Banachowski (head women's volleyball coach, UCLA), John Kessel (USA Volleyball), Lisa Love (former head women's volleyball coach, University of Southern California), Geri Polvino, Ph.D., (former head women's volleyball coach, Eastern Kentucky University) Russ Rose (head women's volleyball coach, Penn State University) and Don Shondell, Ph.D., (former head men's volleyball coach, Ball State University).

The drills in this book originally appeared in the AVCA's official monthly drill bulletin, Power Tips, a publication geared specifically toward the high school and club coach. The drills included in this monthly publication, however, are for players of all skill levels. As a result, the 101 drills chosen for this book are appropriate for coaches at all competitive levels. The book is designed to address a diverse array of fundamentals, skills, and techniques, including beginning level drills, conditioning drills, serving/passing drills, pass/hit/block drills, attacking drills, setting drills, transition drills, team offense drills, and defense drills.
