Rachael Freed, emeritus clinical social worker and licensed marriage and family therapist, is the author of Heartmates®: A Guide for the Spouse and Family of the Heart Patient" and "The Heartmates® Journal: A Companion for Partners of People with Serious Illness". A cofounder of The Legacy Center, Freed guides groups of women in creating spiritual-ethical wills for themselves and their communities. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
