A price guide for carnival glass is a difficult task because it must take into account not only patterns, colors, and shapes but also the quality of the iridescence. Beginning collectors sometimes fail to understand that a price guide cannot effect individual sales. At the same time, advanced collectors have complicated the mix by concocting new colors or shades of colors that affect prices. In this guide some prices have risen, many greatly. Some prices have remained nearly constant also; and some prices have fallen (we've tried to cushion some of these to protect collectors). All prices we list are based on extensive research of auction sales, shop taggings, and private sales where information was forthcoming. Please remember no two pieces in the same color, patter, shape, and size can be expected to bring identical ables. This guide is only a general listing of average prices over the past year.
