About the Author
Lawrence J. Epstein is a professor of English at Suffolk Community College in Selden, New York. The author of Samuel Goldwyn, Zion's Call, A Treasury of Jewish Anecdotes, The Theory and Practice of Welcoming Converts to Judaism, and A Treasury of Jewish Inspirational Stories, he has also written more than 100 articles, stories, and reviews on Jewish life that have been published in major Jewish periodicals. Dr. Epstein served as Middle East Advisor to a U. S. congressman from 1981 to 1986 and currently lives in New York State with his wife, Sharon, and their four children.
