From Booklist
Reviewed with Mindi Rose Englart's Helicopters Gr. 2-4. Excellent photos, a picture-book format, and clear, informative text distinguish these titles in the From Start to Finish series, which shows how diverse items are manufactured. Helicopters takes readers through the process of building an aircraft, from research through flight testing. Full-page boxes present information on the popular Black Hawk as well as Igor Sikorsky, who built the first helicopter. Cheese follows its subject from milking machine to the lab, where samples are tested. Both volumes balance basics ("Cheese is made from milk. Milk comes from cows.") with substantial information ("It takes 20,000 hours to build a Black Hawk helicopter") that can support reports. Each book closes with a short glossary and a few resources.
