Book Description
Why2000 is the result of a year and a half of intensive research. It contains the most comprehensive collection of current information about the year 2000 crisis available. It spells out in simple, easy to understand language what the problems are, what is being done to fix them, which fixes are likely to come up short, and how & why you should prepare your family and loved ones for the problems that could be caused by year 2000 failures. It also explains in a way anyone can understand why "they" just can't simply "fix the problem." For anyone that doesn't understand how 2 little digits could possibly cause all of this commotion, this is the book to read. Why2000 describes the potential problems in the service and governmental agencies you depend on. It aims at helping you understand why what you've been told isn't necessarily the whole story. The information given will help you to decide how a failure in any area can affect you and your loved ones. It offers suggestions on steps you should take immediately to lessen the impact. Why2000 is not a "gloom and doom", all-or-nothing kind of book. Rather, it seeks to provide the reader with the information and research vital to helping them make up their own mind. Why2000 includes a 45-page checklist of things to do and items to obtain. Information is provided on how to work within your community to lessen the strain on essential services. There is an extensive chapter on evaluating and fixing your home and small business PC, plus a comprehensive book list, web site list and bibliography for continued education. There's even a chapter called "For Kids Only" aimed at helping parents explain the situation to their children. Why2000?(sm)is action-oriented to get you moving today!
