The Spotlight, June 16, 1997
A powerful digest of commentary that unveils the sorry state of today's American condition. And it smarts! A searing 320 pages that Jones produced by reviewing other books of common complaint and sewing them together with his own observations . It "will convince you that our problems are interconnected in a way that you probably never guessed." Names names, pulls no punches.

Book Description
This extensively indexed book succinctly summarizes the findings of a dozen or so of the most important works of the 20th century - from both sides of the conflict - which expose how and why a cabal of international plutocrats is planning to destroy America and any other country preventing the ultimate hegemony of their New World Order.

From the Author
We present in this book overwhelming evidence that the many misfortunes our country has suffered during this last century have not just happened by chance. We have researched the works of many writers seeking to find out WHO is impoverishing us, and WHY and HOW they are doing it. Our findings are presented via a series of in-depth reviews of a carefully selected set of books, mostly little-known but a few famous, written by others. Taken together, a coherent picture emerges which precious few among even our political activists understand. We finish by laying out a legislative program which will finally get at our real problems, instead of wasting our efforts on the minutia which the media and the present Congress are concerning themselves with.

From the Back Cover
More and more Americans are coming to feel that something has gone fundamentally wrong in our society. We have suffered repetitive wars, big and small, some won and some lost, but with the peace always lost. Our society has been drained of around $5 trillion in welfare costs since LBJ's War on Poverty was declared, but with no diminution in the incidence of "poverty." Our "War on Drugs" has also been lost, with its societal costs running around $500 billion per year. The cost of fixes for runaway environmentalism has reached about $1 trillion since the birth of the EPA in 1970. Our national debt is over $5 trillion and still going up. Two breadwinners per family has become normal, just to keep bread on the table. Americans feel put upon, and they are right, but they don't know who's doing it to them or why. Such issues have been pondered by researchers for many years, but the historical facts are finally bringing the pieces of the puzzle together. This book paints a picture of that largely completed puzzle, and lays out who the culprits are, why they are doing what they are doing, and how they are managing to pull off what is probably the biggest mass robbery of wealth and individual freedom in human history. Your reading this book will help to expose and stop the destruction, and help to guarantee a future of freedom rather than slavery for your children.

About the Author
The author is a recently retired electrical engineer, having worked for a major U. S. manufacturing firm for over 40 years. He was bitten by the political bug back in the Goldwater days, and once ran for office himself, for State Senator on a third party ticket, but has not otherwise been in the public spotlight. From a lifetime of political awareness, he has, in his retirement, produced two books. The first was "Let's Fix America," outlining legislative actions needed to preserve our culture and freedoms. The second is the present book, which supplies the motivation and the need for urgency in implementing those legislative actions. A third book is being mulled over concerning how the political and financial roadblocks to implementation might be successfully overcome.

The Introduction reads as follows: If it takes you more than a few days to read this book, I have defeated my own purpose. That purpose is to provide a shortcut for politically astute readers to acquire the essential knowledge needed to be effective in the ongoing fight to save for our posterity the great experiment in freedom that was launched 200 years ago by our country's founders. I have selected and reviewed in this volume a mere handful of the many books which have been written outlining our various problems. Taken together, however, they will correctly spell out who we are really fighting, what their goals are, and what strategies they are utilizing to attain those goals. Once these matters are understood, effective counter-strategies are easy to define. Without this understanding, our efforts will continue to be aimed at symptoms rather than causes, and will continue to be insufficient, misdirected, and ineffective. These reviews cannot possibly cover all the detail contained in the original books themselves. They can, however, convince you that our problems are interconnected in a way that you probably never guessed, and that very few of even the most politically active people understand. I urge you to acquire these several books yourselves to help you fill in more pieces of the puzzle for yourselves. Many of the actions most needed by our society will then become obvious to you, to the benefit of us all.
