About the Author
Celestine Sibley has been writing her poignant and thoughtful columns for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution formore than 50 years. She is also the author of more than twenty books and numerous articles for other publications. Through her writings, Sibley recounts her adventures and observations of her life in the South with candor and humor. She has come to embody the heart of the South. Scarlett Blanton Rickenbaker, illustrator, is widely known for her marine and landscape watercolors of her native state of Georgia. She is also recognized as a portraitist and teacher of both portrait and watercolor painting. She lives and has her studio not far from Sweet Apple.
