About the Author
Norm Vargo has chronicled the Pittsburgh Steelers since 1966, when he was writing for a small town paper in western Pennsylvania. He then served as the Steelers' beat writer for the McKeesport Daily News just outside Pittsburgh for 29 years, writing about and traveling with the team through their greatest years. He continues to write columns on the Steelers for various publiscations and to freelance for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
