Dora's Book of Manners (Dora the Explorer Series)

FROM OUR EDITORS

The Barnes & Noble Review
Nick Jr.'s popular explorer is teaching all about manners in this paperback storybook that's muy fabuloso!

When Dora and Boots spot Grumpy Old Troll in tears, they ask what's wrong, only to learn that the furry yellow creature has grumped his way into hurting Mouse's feelings. After they explain that an "I'm sorry" should help matters, the three set off for Mouse's House, located across Sneezing Snake Lake and over Dragon Mountain. Along the way, as Tico helps them cross the lake, they advise the sneezing snakes to cover their mouths, and when a group of dragons block their path on Dragon Mountain, they're careful to ask very nicely if they will move aside. Finally, the team makes it to Mouse's, and after Troll apologizes, he exclaims, "You have to be nice if you want friendship. Friends are helpful and caring and go out of their way. So I'll be kind and polite -- at least for today!"

Filled with sound advice for children needing a brush-up on manners, this Dora book would make Emily Post proud. The simple storybook is illustrated with that familiar, bright Dora artwork, while the lighthearted story brings together a number of characters to keep kids from getting bored. All we can say is, "Thank you, Dora!" Shana Taylor
