From AudioFile
The Force is with this production of the newest installment in the Star Wars saga. What this novelization lacks in prose and dialogue, it gains in sound effects, music, and a fine performance by Jonathan Davis. Music clips from the famous score by John Williams and stellar sound effects--from the hum of light sabers to the occasional blips from R2-D2--add atmosphere and provide an additional connection to the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Davis doesn't attempt to distinguish some characters' voices, but he does an excellent job imitating those of others, particularly Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Jar Jar Binks. This production won't add anything to the film experience, but young Jedi knights will still find much to enjoy. A.F. © AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine
