Literature Pockets: Aesop's Fables FROM THE PUBLISHER Each book in the series contains between 7 and 12 pockets of activities. For every pocket there are reading, writing, and “make-it” projects that extend the literature concept or book being studied. The completed projects are an authentic assessment of what each student has learned. You get a reproducible label for each pocket, complete teacher directions for all activities, all needed patterns, and photographs of the completed projects. Every pocket in Aesop’s Fables begins with a two-page reproducible retelling of a tale. There is a teacher resource page that offers suggestions for sharing the tale. Comprehension, art, and writing activities follow, helping the story come to life for students. Two pages of evaluation forms help both teacher and student assess what was learned. The eight tales in Aesop’s Fables are: The Tortoise and the Hare The Lion and the Mouse The Boy Who Cried Wolf The Miller, His Son, and Their Donkey The Milkmaid and Her Pail The Fox and the Goat The Fox and the Stork The Cat, the Rooster, and the Mouse
